The Federation for Innovation and Sustainable Competitiveness in SMEs (FICSIMM) is an independent, apolitical and non-profit employers' organization, dedicated to supporting and representing the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Romania.
Created through the free association of its members, FICSIMM operates under Law 367/2022 on Social Dialogue, being an important pillar for the sustainable development of the SME sector. By facilitating dialogue between entrepreneurs and national and European authorities, but also between SMEs and international organizations, FICSIMM aims to ensure a prosperous, innovative and responsible business environment.
The main goal of FICSIMM is to support the sustainable development of SMEs by promoting innovation, technological modernization and economic efficiency. The Federation acts as a platform for structured social dialogue, promoting the economic, social and technical interests of its members in relations with public authorities, trade unions and other national and international institutions. In this regard, FICSIMM provides support to SMEs in developing sustainable strategies, aimed at increasing their productivity and competitiveness on the national and international market.
The objectives of the organization are clearly defined and oriented towards the consolidation of a sustainable and modern economy. FICSIMM aims to represent and defend the interests of its members in relations with public authorities, trade unions and other stakeholders, to contribute to the initiation and implementation of efficient economic policies and to support the development and modernization of SMEs. Through its activity, the federation promotes managerial and technological progress, as well as employment through employee training and specialization programs.
The fundamental values of FICSIMM are social responsibility, innovation and sustainable competitiveness. The Federation places particular emphasis on respecting the principles of fair competition, transparency and business ethics. FICSIMM also encourages the efficient use of resources, the promotion of sustainable production and the reduction of environmental impact.
